Shiitake Mushroom Tea


  • 3 dried shitake mushrooms
  • 3 ½ cups spring or filtered water
  • Pinch sea salt or few drops soy sauce (tamarin or shoyu)


  1. Soak dried mushrooms in water for 30 minutes, or until they are soft.
  2. Finely chop the mushrooms.
  3. Place in a pot with soaking water. Gently bring to boil. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Add sea salt or shoyu soy sauce toward the end.  Drink while hot.
